Fact
Many people prefer their ‘illness’ – and the social structure it engenders – to a genuine solution leading to sparkling health and vitality.

Fact
As long ago as 1973 Ivan Illich wrote:

In the last 15 years, official medical science has become a significant threat to health.

Fact
In the Netherlands alone, iatrogenic deaths (deaths induced inadvertently by a physician or surgeon or by medical treatment or diagnostic procedures) are more than 2000 annually. These are 2000 unnecessary mortalities caused by ‘medical complications’ in hospitals. In the USA a figure of more than 780,000 is cited – some 200,000 more than die of cancer.

Fact
The pharmaceutical medicines prescribed by orthodox medical practitioners contain chemicals that are totally foreign to normal body chemistry. They are, in other words, to a greater or lesser degree poisonous. Complementary medicine uses naturally occurring supplements that support bodily functions.

People are fed by the food industry which pays no attention to health, and are treated by the health industry which pays no attention to food.
Wendell Berry

Fact
That it is essential to drink enough water has at last become a daily reality for many. Nevertheless there are still far too many people in the West exacerbating their physical challenges by insufficient consumption of high-quality water. The massive increase in popularity of so-called ‘energy drinks’ is just a time bomb, the ‘asbestos problem’ of the future.

Fact
Change your paradigm – go beyond your conditioned (and perhaps unfounded) trust in ‘the doctor in his white coat’ – and a whole new world of possibilities presents itself.

Fact
All around the world there are means – some traditional, some more modern – to discover what your body needs in order for balance to be restored.
Your body knows far better than any doctor what it needs.
The trick is to start listening (again!) to the signals the body is sending.
The pulse and tongue diagnosis as in acupuncture (that’s been around much more than 2500 years) is an excellent example of ‘learning to listen to the body’.
There are currently dozens of highly sophisticated electronic devices which register and interpret the signals of the meridians, providing useful support for both layman and professional health practitioner.

Fact
Symptoms are not a sign of illness. Rather, they are a message; your body is calling your attention; it needs help.

Fact
Each medical specialist observes and analyses from his own professional, specialised viewpoint. Talk to a surgeon, and his advice is based on… surgery. And what gets removed cannot be replaced. So-called invasive surgery can all too often be replaced by less intensive approaches – if you’re open and willing to look for them.
