It looks like I have to swallow lots of pills all together. How does this work?

Take this example: if you are very thirsty, you’re going to need more, often much more, than just one glass of water. If you’re physically active or do a lot of sport when the weather’s hot, the chance is that you’re going to need extra magnesium and potassium along with all that water.
Another aspect to be taken into account is that there are legalities governing the amount of ingredient per pill or capsule, which means you may simply need a lot of pills to supply what your body needs (or: more than just one glass of water).
Realise, too, that pills and capsules often contain a surprisingly high proportion of fillers which are necessary both as a carrier of the active ingredient and as a way of complying with legal requirements.
